As we continue to grow, we are looking for a talented and driven Purchasing Manager to take ownership of our procurement processes and ensure we maintain the highest standards of quality, value, and efficiency across all sites.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Purchasing Manager is a strategic and operational role responsible for overseeing all procurement activities across the group. You will be accountable for supplier management, inventory control, cost optimisation, and ensuring a smooth and consistent supply chain to support our day-to-day operations.

We are seeking someone with solid experience in hospitality purchasing, excellent commercial instincts, and a hands-on approach to building supplier relationships and streamlining processes. You will be instrumental in shaping a proactive, data-driven purchasing function that enables the business to thrive.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and lead the purchasing function across all BVC Group venues.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favourable terms and ensuring service excellence.
  • Oversee procurement of all food, beverage, equipment, and non-food items, ensuring best quality and value.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels across sites to ensure availability while reducing waste and overstocking.
  • Implement purchasing systems and controls to track orders, budgets, and supplier performance.
  • Conduct regular pricing reviews and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with chefs, GMs, and finance to forecast demand, plan orders, and align on menu or operational changes.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of purchasing activity, contracts, and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure all procurement practices meet health & safety, sustainability, and ethical sourcing standards.
  • Support new venue openings with procurement planning and supplier setup.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Hospitality Procurement Expertise: Solid experience in a purchasing role within the hospitality or food service sector.
  • Strong Commercial Acumen: Confident negotiating prices, managing budgets, and analysing purchasing data.
  • Organised & Detail-Oriented: Capable of managing multiple suppliers and orders while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
  • Systems Savvy: Experience using procurement software; MarketMan experience would be an advantage.
  • Effective Communicator: Strong verbal and written English, able to collaborate across departments and with external partners.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to guide, influence, and work cross-functionally with both ops and finance teams.
  • Problem Solver: Calm under pressure and able to respond quickly to supply issues or stock challenges.
  • Passion for Hospitality: An understanding of what it takes to support great guest experiences from behind the scenes.
