Are you keen to work in a very good quality firm with excellent development opportunities and future progression on offer?
In this newly created role due to the firm winning lots of new clients from larger firms, your role will be split 30% - 50% audit assignments (the firm are flexible) and the remainder of your time split between statutory accounts, corporation tax and ad hoc projects. Based in a general practice role in a good quality traditional accountancy firm with around 50 staff, you will be responsible for:
- Leading audit assignments from planning to completion
- Preparing statutory accounts from start to finish
- Preparing corporation tax computations
- Managing workflow
- Liaising with clients
- Reporting to Manager and Partners
- Reviewing work of more junior staff
You will deal with client queries, technical research, HMRC queries and also be responsible for supervising junior staff and reviewing their work. Your role will be varied, challenging and hugely enjoyable with great future progression prospects on offer. You will gain exposure to a wide range of UK and international clients, including groups, from sectors including media, property, legal, financial services, technology, renewable energy, retail and other interesting sectors.
This firm has had great success with people who have trained outside of London and want to relocate to a London firm for the exposure and opportunities on offer. The firm offers hybrid working - 3 days in the office and 2 days from home (and often 3 days home working).
To be considered for this newly created role (January 2026) you must have at least three years experience, probably in a small or medium size accountancy firm and be fully ACA qualified OR you might be from a larger firm background and looking to join a smaller firm where you can carry out a mixed role and achieve a better work life balance including hybrid working. You must have experience of leading audit assignments from planning to completion, preparing statutory accounts and tax returns, reviewing work and working in an advisory capacity to clients. Experience of a wide range of software packages would be an advantage as is a desire to work in a mixed general practice role. You must be well presented, be a team player, and be looking to progress at a rapid pace.
The firm welcomes applications from candidates looking to relocate to London from another UK based practice firm. This growing accountancy firm has a great reputation for being a friendly and supportive place to work and providing their staff with challenging and varied roles. You will work in a friendly and growing team, and you can expect to work on an interesting array of high profile and growing London based clients as well as international clients. The firm is growing at a rapid rate due to many new business wins from larger accountancy firms. This is a unique opportunity for an ACA qualified Audit & Accounts Senior to join an entrepreneurial yet traditional practice and play a role of great importance to the continued growth of the firm. It is also a great opportunity to develop your general practice skills and progress to Manager grade in the future.
