Are you an ACA Qualified Accountant currently working in practice and looking for your first move into industry? Or are you already working in industry and looking for your next challenge? Are you either recently qualified or have up to 2 years PQE? Are you keen to continue your career in a large (Top 20), forward thinking, modern and entrepreneurial accountancy practice firm and be based internally in their successful and growing Internal Finance Team?
Based in the busy finance department and reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for playing a leading role in the development of balance sheet reporting, ensuring all balance sheet accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis and delivering the monthly balance sheet reports as part of the management accounts.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Preparation of monthly Group balance sheet reports
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Analysis of the management accounts
- Preparation of the Group Financial Accounts
- Assisting the head of finance with the consolidation of the Group Accounts
- Keeping up to date with relevant financial reporting standards
- Review Partner drawings before signoff
- Prepare quarter summaries of different accounts
- Various other ad hoc duties as required
You will liaise with all the departments within the firm and learn a number of transferable skills which will benefit you in your future career.
To be considered for this interesting and varied newly created position, you must be a fully qualified ACA, either recently qualified or with up to 2 years PQE. You will either currently be working in practice (with some audit experience) and looking for your first move into industry, or you will currently be working in industry (ideally another professional practice such as an accountancy or law firm) and looking for your next challenge.
You must have experience of most of the above duties, including management accounts and statutory accounts preparation, as well as some audit experience when you worked in practice. You must possess fast and accurate data processing skills, work to high standards, be able to meet tight deadlines, have a sense of humour and be a team player. Experience of a range of software packages would be an advantage (especially Caseware), as is strong Excel skills.
