Are you an experienced Client Manager, Practice Manager or small firm Accounts & Tax Manager, looking for a role where you can help run a small but very well established, growing and profitable accountancy firm? Are you looking to work in a newly created role (due to growth) which is vitally important for the continued growth of this well known practice which specialises in SME / OMB clients?
Are you keen to work in a hands on role, with a high element of client contact where you will spend the majority of your time dealing with client queries and managing clients? Reporting directly to the Managing Director of the business, your role will be varied and include:
- Managing a portfolio of clients
- Assisting with building and developing the client portfolio
- Managing workflow
- Reviewing work (mainly statutory accounts, corporation tax returns, personal tax returns and some VAT work)
- Liaising with clients and managing all client relationships
You will be based between 2 offices, both based in easily accessible locations in Zone 1 and 3 South West London. This role is a great opportunity for someone from a smaller practice background looking to get the opportunities and support of a large network of accountancy firms but still work in a small firm environment.
The firm works with a wide array of Limited Companies and Sole Traders from various different sectors, with turnovers to £8m although most clients are between £50k and £3m turnover. The firm is very entrepreneurial and forward thinking and uses online software such as Xero and Quickbooks Online. There will also be the opportunity to carry out many ad hoc and advisory based projects for clients.
To be considered for this new role, you must be an experienced Client Manager, Practice Manager or small firm Accounts & Tax Manager with experience of working in a hands on SME environment and have experience of all areas of general practice (statutory accounts, corporation and personal tax returns, VAT returns and reviewing work). You must have good communication skills and have experience liaising with clients regularly, particularly in person and over the phone.
You can be either ACCA / ACA qualified or qualified by experience. You must have at least 5 years experience working in a general practice role in a small to medium sized practice, with strong experience working with Limited Companies. You must have experience of a wide range of software packages, including Xero. A strong interest in working in a small team, with London based SME and OMB clients is also essential.
