Are you an ACA or ACCA Qualified Accounts Senior, Outsourcing Senior or Business Services Senior with experience of management accounts and statutory accounts preparations? Are you looking to upgrade to a Top 30 Accountancy firm where you will be fully trained to work on high profile clients, many from the rewarding financial services and FCA regulated sectors?
Are you from an accountancy firm background and looking to join a very good quality, modern City based accountancy firm with over 600 staff in a hands-on role with high levels of responsibility? Are you looking for a role where you will have a great opportunity to progress to Manager grade in a short space of time? Are you looking to work on a wide variety of both UK and international clients, as well as achieve a good work-life balance for such a large firm?
If so, this growing Top 30 accountancy practice firm based in a prime location in London is looking to recruit a new Accounts Senior due to impressive growth over the last few years and winning new clients from larger firms. Based in a friendly and supportive team, you will work with a range of interesting clients, the majority of which will be financial services based. Full training will be provided.
Your role will be hands-on and mainly preparing work yourself but will also include an element of reviewing work and supervising juniors. Your role will be biased towards management accounts but will also include statutory accounts preparations, VAT returns, corporation tax returns and other ad hoc duties and advisory projects. You will also have the chance to work closely with clients in setting up and implementing new software packages (such as Xero) as well as new systems, processes and controls.
Your role will be advisory based, varied, challenging, and training will be provided where necessary. The firm offers hybrid working allowing all staff to work one day a week from home and flexible start/finish times.
To be considered for this new role (January 2026), you must be either ACCA or ACA Qualified, either newly qualified or up to 2 years PQE. You must be working for a good quality practice firm, likely small or medium in size, and you must have experience of preparing management accounts and ideally statutory accounts too. You must have experience of FRS 102 and using a disclosure checklist when preparing accounts. You must also have experience managing junior staff, reviewing their work and providing feedback.
It would also be an advantage if you had experience of financial services clients/FCA regulated clients, but a strong interest in this area is fine. You must now be looking to upgrade to a large practice based in a City location in Central London where you can continue with your accountancy career, work on an interesting client base and receive top training, support and future progression to Manager grade on offer.
This growing Top 30 accountancy firm has a great reputation for being a friendly and supportive place to work and providing their staff with challenging and varied roles. You will work in a friendly and growing Business Services Department, and you can expect to work on an interesting array of clients from a wide range of industries, particularly those in the financial services sectors. The department is growing at a rapid rate due to many new business wins from larger accountancy firms.
Overall, this is a unique opportunity for a fully qualified Accounts Senior or Business Services Senior who wants to carry out a management accounts biased role in a leading London accountancy firm with great support, variety of work, hybrid/flexi working and genuine progression on offer.
