Job Description
Are you a fully ACA or ACCA qualified Audit & Accounts Senior from a practice firm looking to upgrade to a good quality, traditional yet small in size London based accountancy firm and carry out a varied general practice role consisting of audit assignments, statutory accounts preparations, tax returns and various advisory based projects? Are you keen to work in a small firm (15 staff) with excellent development opportunities and future progression on offer? In this newly created role due to the firm winning lots of new clients from larger firms, your role will be split 50% audit assignments and the remainder of your time split between statutory accounts, corporation tax and ad hoc projects.
Based in a general practice role you will be responsible for: Leading audit assignments from planning to completion, preparing statutory accounts from start to finish, preparing corporation tax computations, managing workflow, liaising with clients, reporting to Manager and Partners, and reviewing work of more junior staff. You will deal with client queries, technical research, HMRC queries and also be responsible for supervising junior staff and reviewing their work. Your role will be varied, challenging and hugely enjoyable with great future progression prospects on offer.
You will gain exposure to a wide range of UK and international clients, from sectors including property, legal, financial services, technology, retail and other interesting sectors. This firm has had great success with people who have trained outside of London and want to relocate to a London firm for the exposure and opportunities on offer. The role is office based.To be considered for this newly created role (August 2025) you must have at least three years experience, probably in a small or medium size accountancy firm and be fully ACA or ACCA qualified OR you might be from a larger firm background and looking to join a smaller firm where you can carry out a mixed role and achieve a better work life balance.
You must have experience of leading audit assignments from planning to completion, preparing statutory accounts and tax returns, reviewing work and working in an advisory capacity to clients. Experience of a wide range of software packages would be an advantage as is a desire to work in a mixed general practice role. You must be well presented, be a team player, and be looking to progress at a rapid pace.
