Job Description
Are you an ACA or ACCA Qualified Accounts Senior or Business Services Senior with experience of BOTH statutory accounts and management accounts preparations? Are you from a good quality accountancy firm, looking to join a large Top 40 firm with over 170 staff in a hands on role with high levels of responsibility? Are you looking for a role where you will have a great opportunity to progress to Manager grade in a short space of time? Are you looking to work in a mixed accounts based role which include both statutory and management accounts and work on a wide variety of large and complex UK and overseas based clients? Are you also looking to work for a firm that will offer you a good work life balance, plus flexible working arrangements (working 3 days in the office max and 2 to 3 days from home) as well as flexi work start times? If so, this growing Top 40 accountancy practice firm based in a prime location in the City is looking to recruit a new member of staff due to impressive growth over the last few years and winning new clients from larger firms. Based in a niche team, you will work with a range of interesting clients from sectors including retail, technology, media, entertainment, property, renewable energy, financial services, gaming, construction and many more. Your role will be hands on and mainly preparing work yourself. Your role will be split between both statutory accounts and management accounts and also include Vat returns, corporation tax returns and other ad hoc duties and projects. You will also have the chance to work closely with clients in setting up and implementing new software packages (such as Xero) and new systems, processes and controls in place and you will often act in an advisory capacity for clients. You will also be responsible for reviewing the work of junior staff and providing support and training / guidance to the juniors. Your role will be varied and challenging, and training will be provided where necessary.
To be considered for this new role due to growth (June 2025) it is likely you will be either ACCA or ACA qualified and working for a good quality practice firm of any size and you must have experience of both statutory accounts and management accounts preparations. You must have experience of FRS 102, and experience of consolidations and IFRS would be desirable but not essential. Experience of a wide range of software packages, including Quickbooks, Sage and Xero, would also be an advantage. You must now be looking to upgrade to a large Top 40 practice based in a City location in Central London where you can continue with your accountancy career, work on an interesting client base and receive top training, support and future progression to Manager grade on offer.
