Are you a Statutory Accounts Assistant Manager or Business Services Assistant Manager looking for your next challenge? Or are you an Accounts Senior with 1 to 3 years PQE and looking to step up to Assistant Manager grade? Are you fully ACA or ACCA qualified and looking to upgrade to a modern and entrepreneurial West End based accountancy practice which is one of the main firms in London that works with high profile Media, Entertainment, Theatre, Film & TV clients (both corporate and HNW individuals)? Are you looking for a role which is mainly statutory accounts, tax and advisory based, that will also involve managing a portfolio of clients and being their main point of contact, managing workflow, managing staff and reviewing work of more junior staff?

If so, this growing accountancy practice firm based in a prime location in Zone 1 Central London is looking to recruit an ACA or ACCA qualified Statutory Accounts Assistant Manager with at least a year’s post qualification experience due to impressive growth over the last few years and winning new clients from larger firms.

Your role will be varied and will include:

  • Managing your own portfolio of clients (including a mixture of corporate clients and individuals)
  • Reporting directly to Manager and Partner level
  • Liaising directly with all clients
  • Reviewing statutory accounts prepared by other staff
  • Preparing more complex statutory accounts from start to finish under both FRS 102 and FRS 105
  • Corporation tax returns, VAT returns and offering clients advice on how to improve their business

You will also get the chance to work on various advisory and ad hoc client projects, as well as staff management duties and reviewing work. The role will be a mixture of reviewing work and preparing more complex assignments yourself. You will work in a newly created role (due to massive growth over the last few years) that will provide you with many opportunities in the future including the chance to be promoted to full Manager level in a short space of time.

No experience of the client base is necessary although a strong interest in working with creative, media and Film & TV clients is essential. To be considered for this newly created role (May 2026) you will be a qualified ACCA or ACA with at least 1 year PQE and currently working for a UK based practice firm with experience of the above duties, either operating at Accounts Senior or Accounts Assistant Manager level.

You will either be working for a small or medium sized firm and looking to step up to a role with more responsibility and better progression or you will already be working for a large practice and are looking to work in a more friendly firm with a better work life balance and faster progression. Experience of a wide range of software packages especially CCH Accounts Production and Xero would be an advantage but training will be provided if necessary.

You must now be looking to upgrade to an entrepreneurial and modern boutique West End based accountancy firm which is one of the main firms in London which works with high profile Media, Entertainment, Theatre, Creative, Film & TV clients. They offer hybrid working – 4 days in the office and 1 day from home plus flexi start / finish times. The atmosphere is casual, relaxed, sociable and friendly.

This growing accountancy firm has a great reputation for being a friendly and supportive place to work and providing their staff with challenging and varied roles. The firm has a real family feel, with a very low staff turnover and staff always have successful long term careers at the firm. You will work in a friendly and growing team, and you can expect to work on an interesting array of clients from a wide range of creative industries.

The firm is growing at a rapid rate due to many new business wins from larger accountancy firms. Overall this is a unique opportunity for a good quality Statutory Accounts Assistant Manager or Accounts Senior looking to step up to AM level, to join a good quality, niche and modern accountancy firm based in a West End location and carry out a high profile statutory accounts based role with great variety and genuine progression to full Manager grade in the future.
