The Independent is an online news publisher that was established in 1986 as a national newspaper independent of party political affiliations or proprietorial influence. In 2016, The Independent became a fully digital publisher, moving away from print in pursuit of sustainability, and to safeguard its values and journalism for the future.

This role involves managing homepages, editing and producing articles (both commercial and editorial), newsletters, and publishing and optimising content across the websites and social media platforms. To be successful in this position you must demonstrate excellent editorial judgement, writing skills, communication skills, have strong collaboration skills and be highly organised. You will take pride in editing to a high standard, with a creative approach to the headlines and imagery which will drive our readers to click on our content in a competitive space.
