The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
Our internal HR team of 14 people supports the firm throughout the entire employee life cycle, including talent acquisition, onboarding, talent development, retention and off-boarding. The role is a 6-month fixed-term contract (FTC) to support the full employee generalist lifecycle across the firm, with management responsibilities and leadership on ER cases, meetings and investigations on complex issues, and advisory support to managers on low-risk ER matters.
Responsibilities
- Advise Partners, Directors, Managers and team members on all aspects of employment in line with internal policies, procedures, best practice and employment legislation.
- Regularly update the Staff Handbook to remain compliant with employment legislation, the firm’s practices and HR best practice.
- Ensure HR working practices are accurate and up to date, and the firm remains compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee onboarding of new team members and subcontractors, ensuring pre-screening checks are conducted and any anomalies addressed.
- Support with the processing of the firm’s payroll.
- Provide day-to-day supervision and line management of HR team members.
- Ensure all HR-related documents are uploaded to the firm’s Intranet as appropriate.
- Keep the HR Partner fully up to date on HR issues being handled.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a HR Business Partner role or similar.
- Solid understanding of UK employment law.
- Experience in day-to-day supervision/line management of people.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to multi-task.
