The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.

This is a full-time equal-partner equity role for a technical co-founder. We will be aiming to hit early commercial metrics in 3-6 months to raise a pre-seed to enable salaries. The company was formed in January of this year.

Product development:

  • Developing proof of concept on data analytics product pilot adopters
  • Undertaken multiple product discovery interviews around loyalty and data analytics

Sales:

  • Built an early pipeline of clients for both the loyalty and the data product

Buzz is an AI-driven marketing solution designed to help small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) transform fragmented data into actionable insights. Unlike traditional dashboards that overwhelm business owners, Buzz serves as an AI Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), offering clear, predictive insights to prioritise actions and improve business performance.

We tackle critical issues like customer churn, email engagement, and product profitability by connecting disparate data pools, predicting growth, and directly recommending actionable next steps. Our solution simplifies data decision-making for SMBs that are overwhelmed by the growing complexity of SaaS tools and data fragmentation.

As we embark on this exciting journey, we need a Technical Co-Founder who can help us scale Buzz into a market leader in AI-driven decisioning for small and medium businesses. Buzz is positioned to grab a growing, yet nascent, AI decisioning market for SMBs. The explosion of SaaS platforms has caused significant fragmentation in SMBs’ data, and Buzz is here to solve that problem by providing actionable, customer-led insights in real-time.

We’re building a competitive moat by combining advanced AI (including large language models) with tailored contexts and action plans that are relevant to small business needs. The result is a highly specialised, AI-driven solution that learns from multiple businesses, improving over time with increasing engagement and data sets.

As the Technical Co-Founder / CTO at Buzz, you’ll be the key technology leader responsible for:

  • Defining the architecture of our AI-driven platform and ensuring it meets the real-world needs of SMBs in data-driven decisioning.
  • AI Integration & Innovation: Leading the integration of AI and machine learning algorithms to create predictive insights and actions that improve business outcomes. Innovating on new ways to stitch together fragmented data from different SaaS platforms to generate valuable insights.
  • Leading efforts on system architecture, cloud infrastructure, and integrating external data sources into the platform for optimal performance.
  • Collaboration & Team Building: Working closely with the CEO and business teams to iterate on the product and align technology with business goals. Building and leading a team of developers and data scientists as the company grows.
  • Actionable Data: Going beyond raw data analytics—focusing on providing customers with actionable, results-oriented insights that solve real business problems like reducing churn, improving product profitability, and personalising customer communications.
  • Strong experience in AI, machine learning, and data integration—especially in connecting disparate data sources and creating predictive models. Ability to align technology and product decisions with the broader business strategy.
  • SaaS & Data Experience: A deep understanding of the SaaS ecosystem and the challenges SMBs face with data fragmentation. Familiarity with building modular SaaS solutions that deliver value at scale.
  • A passion for building a business from the ground up. A strong focus on hypothesis testing, experimentation, and data-driven decision-making. Understanding the need to balance rapid innovation with delivering high-quality, customer-centric solutions.
  • Maintaining focus and calm under pressure, navigating the ups and downs of building a business with resilience.
  • Shaping the direction of Buzz’s technology and product offerings, with the ability to directly impact the business and solve real-world problems for SMBs.
  • Ownership: As a co-founder, having an equal stake in decision-making, product direction, and company culture.
  • Flexibility & Growth: Working remotely with a flexible schedule, but with the commitment and passion of building something extraordinary.
  • Technical expertise in AI/ML, data science, and SaaS development.
  • Experience in data extraction and analysis.
