We have an exciting opportunity for a Catering Manager to join us here at Buzz Bingo Northampton. This role is working full time 40 hours and you must be fully flexible to work during all opening hours, paying up to £33,000 p/a.

The Role You’ll Play
- Responsible for the management of the food and beverage operation.
- Maximising sales and meeting profit and financial expectations while organising, leading and motivating the food and beverage team.
- To provide support and information to the Catering Manager in relation to key areas, income, GP, Stock usage & control, promotions, menus, recruitment, training and performance reviews.
- Supporting the bingo operation where required.

Your Responsibilities as Part of Our Team
- Deliver a culture of exceptional customer service by coaching direct reports to enable them to lead their teams and drive service levels in every session.
- Effectively manage the team in their day to day activities by directing, delegating, coaching and supporting as appropriate.
- Providing clarity of performance expectations through regular feedback and the implementation of Performance Reviews for all members of the team.
- Assist the General Manager in ensuring that the customer experience is consistently delivered.
- Delivering an exceptional food and beverage offering, where quality and service is second to none.
- Help reduce wastage and cost within the beverage and catering area.
- Ensure departmental audits are completed as required by the business.
- Ensure that the Company's legal obligations (Gaming and Licensing Laws, Employment Legislation, Health and Safety and Health and Hygiene) are being properly observed and adhered to.
- Ensure adequate levels of staff are deployed in each area to maximise customer service throughout the day.
- Complete schedules for Catering and Bar that Maximise efficiency.
- Maintain stock levels and order new supplies as required.
- Act as the duty manager for the bingo club as and when required.
The Winning Combination We’re Looking For
- Previous experience of managing a team in a face-to-face customer service role, ideally within a leisure, gaming, hospitality, or retail environment.
- A track record of delivering high levels of customer service & profit delivery within the leisure, hospitality or retail industry.
- Previous experience of deputising for General Manager/ Unit Manager in every aspect of responsibility and accountability for the unit including internal and external meetings and at regional meetings where required.
- Evidence of bringing business acumen to decision making and understands the commercial drivers of the business.
- Evidence of setting an example for customer service and interaction ‘on the floor’.
- Commercial acumen and some knowledge of profit and loss.
- Experience of successful building, leading and managing through teams with demonstrable effective performance management ability.
- An outgoing nature: warm, friendly and able to establish effective relationships.
