Overview
As Deputy Manager, you will help maintain consistent delivery of the Buzz Bingo Brand Values and foster a culture of exceptional customer service throughout the customer journey. You will also assist the General Manager in implementing the local brand strategy and contribute to the club’s strategic plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Deputise for the General Manager in all operational aspects of the club.
- Assist the General Manager to implement brand strategy flawlessly at a local level.
- Seek opportunities to recognise and appreciate those who go the extra mile.
- Evaluate actions to maintain and improve KPI performance.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels in each area to maximise customer service throughout the day.
- Provide performance expectations through regular feedback and performance reviews for all team members.
- Drive a culture of exceptional customer service by coaching and encouraging team members during every session.
- Generate new members, communicate appropriately, and maximise data capture to encourage repeat visits.
- Maintain a highly visible presence in all club areas during peak trading times.
- Ensure compliance with legal obligations including Gaming and Licensing Laws, Employment Legislation, Health & Safety and Health & Hygiene regulations.
- Create a Safer Gambling Environment for all customers and colleagues across all channels, including online, in club and live.
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience managing a team in a face‑to‑face customer service role, ideally within leisure, gaming, hospitality or retail.
- Demonstrated business awareness and understanding of commercial drivers.
- Strong customer‑service example on the floor and ability to set expectations.
- Self‑aware, accepts constructive feedback, and committed to personal and team development.
- Experience driving new initiatives and delivering tangible results.
- Mobile and flexible to cover other sites across the South West and able to work across all opening hours.
Employment Details
Full‑time, 44 hours per week. Salary up to £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
