About us: We are an award-winning Production Company creating live sport, documentaries, promos, branded, and digital content. Built in London, and now proudly operating across the UK, Buzz 16 began as a tight team of producers, creators and sports obsessives — a team united by a love for great storytelling, bold ideas and working together at the highest level. Our aim has been simple: create content that moves, entertains and elevates the intersection of sport and culture. We’ve grown fast, building a reputation for energy, pride and excellence. Today, Buzz 16 works with some of the biggest names in sport and some of the world’s leading broadcasters, producing entertainment that is unmistakably ours.

We are now looking to appoint a Commercial Director who will shape and lead the company’s commercial strategy, accelerate revenue growth, create new commercial opportunities, and build long term strategic partnerships across a diverse portfolio to bring world class sports content to life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commercial Strategy & Revenue Growth: Develop and execute the commercial strategy aligned with the Company’s objectives. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including sponsorship, advertising and content licensing deals. Grow revenue by targeting high potential markets and optimising pricing and development partnerships. Secure production contracts, framework agreements, and long-term partnerships. Manage sponsorship integrations, branded content, and commercial deliverables within productions.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including advertisers, agencies, sponsors, broadcasters and media partners. Collaborate closely with the production and content teams to ensure commercial commitments are delivered. Represent the business confidently at industry events and pitch meetings.
  • Pricing, Contracts & Profitability: Oversee pricing models, proposals, and tenders. Lead contract negotiations, including production budgets, margins, and commercial terms. Work with Finance to manage forecasting, revenue pipelines, and profitability.
  • Market & Industry Insight: Monitor trends in sports media, broadcast technologies, and competitor activity to identify opportunities and risks. Analyse market trends, competitor strategies, and audience insights to inform commercial strategies and support data driven decision making.

Qualifications, Experience and Key Skills:

  • Commercial leader with extensive experience in media, sports, and entertainment industries.
  • Proven track record in securing production deals, media partnerships, and sponsorship revenue.
  • Experienced in developing and executing commercial strategies to drive revenue growth.
  • Strong understanding of advertising sales, sponsorship, and content monetisation models.
  • Skilled in negotiating complex deals and structuring agreements for maximum impact.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyse data, identify opportunities, and implement actionable plans.
  • Commercially astute with solid financial and budget management expertise.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Inspiring leader with a talent for motivating teams to achieve targets and deliver results.
