Buzz 16 is a live and non-live sports entertainment provider delivering Rugby coverage on a 1-year fixed term basis. Reporting to the Executive Producer, this role is suitable for someone with live broadcast experience, strong organisational skills and collaborative leadership. Responsibilities
- Working in the Rugby Union production team across the 2025/2026 season.
- Involved in all aspects of production including working in a live sports broadcast environment in galleries and outside broadcasts as well as developing creative ideas, producing shoots and cutting VTs and features for inclusion within live programmes.
- Supporting the Executive Producer and Producers with week-to-week content production and live Rugby broadcasts.
- Working in fast paced and engaging live galleries following the important stories and engaging viewers with analysis and in other editorial roles, with clear and concise talkback.
- Working with the media management team to organise and manage archive material across the season.
- Fully involved in the creative process of production meetings, offering creative and editorially relevant ideas for features and VTs in programme.
- Have an understanding and awareness of social media platforms and what compelling content helps to drive growth and engagement.
- Contribute effectively in AP meetings to help the team in terms of idea generation and development.

This role will require late starts/finishes and weekend/bank holiday working where necessary as well as travelling to shoot/outside broadcast locations in the UK and abroad.
Qualifications
- Experience in a similar live broadcast role, working in live galleries and Outside Broadcasts in a fast-paced, time critical environment.
- Good sporting knowledge - a good knowledge of Rugby Union would be a bonus.
- Proactive, organised, hands on and a team player.
- Not necessary to the role but the ability to VT coordinate match & pres in a gallery or OB truck would be hugely beneficial.
- Eye for a story and strong journalistic instincts.
- Confident and comfortable enough to see a project through from start to finish, from idea generation to shoot execution and edit producing the final product.
- Strong all-round Assistant Producer with experience in live broadcast, great ideas and a passion for producing shoots and cutting interesting and engaging features and VTs.
- Successfully communicate ideas and apply critical thinking in work.
- Clear passion for sports broadcasting and being part of a production team producing top tier programming.
- Desire to engage viewers and consumers to produce the best possible productions.
- Understanding of the changing media landscape and the opportunities that brings to the future of sports digital broadcasting.
