About the Role
At Buy It Direct, we are seeking a professional, customer-focused Gas Engineer / Installer to join our Driven installation team based out of Luton. We have full and part-time opportunities available to fit around you. This is a field-based role involving the delivery and installation of domestic appliances in customers' homes across the region. The role is predominantly focused on gas appliance installations, with some electrical installation work. Engineers can expect to complete up to 8 installations per day, with structured routing and operational planning in place. You will play a key role in delivering an outstanding customer experience while ensuring all installations are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Install domestic gas appliances in customers' homes in line with manufacturer specifications and Gas Safe regulations.
- Complete gas appliance installations to a high standard, maintaining quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
- Accurately record installation details, testing results, and customer documentation using company systems.
- Deliver professional customer service, providing clear explanations of appliance operation and safety guidance.
- Complete up to 8 appliance installations per day while maintaining compliance, quality, and efficiency standards.

What We're Looking For
- Gas Safe Registered (essential).
- CKR1 qualification (essential).
- HTR1 qualification (desirable).
- Previous experience installing domestic appliances and white goods.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-facing installation environment.
- Full UK Driving Licence (maximum 6 points, no serious motoring offences).
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work from installation instructions, plans, and technical specifications.
- A professional, safety-conscious approach with excellent attention to detail.
