About the Role

As the Lead Warehouse Operative - Nights at ‘Driven’, you’ll oversee the loading and unloading of goods at our Bristol hub, ensuring accuracy, safety, and efficiency throughout the process. Acting as the key point of contact between the warehouse team and management, you’ll drive productivity, maintain a safe working environment, and ensure our customers receive their products on time and in full.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate the FLT counterbalance to unload goods from HGVs and place them into designated lanes for reloading onto delivery vans.
  • Ensure minimal instances of damaged or misplaced goods by ensuring accuracy in loading and unloading vehicles.
  • Perform safety checks on equipment and ensure adherence to health and safety processes.
  • Assign tasks to the team to ensure productivity while also ensuring the team works efficiently and safely.
  • Carefully handle and load products to prevent damage during transit, ensuring accurate placement of stock.
  • Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring all staff follow PPE regulations and report health and safety incidents promptly.
  • Work closely with drivers to ensure timely departures from the site and efficient loading of delivery vehicles.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Must have a valid, in-date FLT counterbalance license and experience operating the truck.
  • A working knowledge of health and safety regulations with the ability to enforce safe working practices.
  • Familiarity with warehouse processes including stock management, loading/unloading vehicles, and maintaining safety standards.
  • Able to coordinate a team, assign tasks, and monitor performance to meet targets.
  • Able to identify and resolve issues, such as delays, equipment malfunctions, or stock discrepancies.
  • Good communication skills and a practical approach.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse lead or supervisory role is an advantage but not essential.
