Buy It Direct is hiring an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to work across our warehouse and office locations. This practical, hands-on role focuses on ensuring safety, compliance, and the smooth operation of essential systems. You will perform a mix of planned maintenance, reactive tasks, and project work, playing a key role in keeping our sites operational and compliant.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform electrical maintenance across all sites, including planned works, preventative checks, and urgent repairs.
  • Carry out periodic inspections and testing in line with current regulations.
  • Certify all electrical work in accordance with legal and industry standards.
  • Record all work accurately using the in-house job management system (Jira).
  • Coordinate with the Maintenance Manager on task updates, resourcing, and escalations.
  • Collaborate with the wider maintenance team to ensure consistent support across the business.
  • Contribute to operational efficiency by identifying issues early and resolving them effectively.
  • Work flexibly, including evenings or weekends when required.

Requirements:

  • City & Guilds 18th Edition (BS Wiring Regulations).
  • Previous experience in a similar electrical maintenance role, ideally in a multi-site or warehouse setting.
  • Comfortable working independently and within a team.
  • Experience with EICRs and electrical certification.
  • Familiarity with job management platforms (e.g., Jira).
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites.
  • General maintenance experience outside of electrical work is an advantage.
