Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care to a defined caseload of rheumatology patients under the direction of the Lead Rheumatology Specialist Nurse.
- Advocate for patients and deliver personalised support, education and advice to patients and significant others.
- Manage and act on laboratory test results, including abnormal blood values related to disease‑modifying anti‑rheumatic therapy.
- Respond promptly to patient queries via the Rheumatology telephone helpline (email and telephone).
- Participate in education sessions and presentations for patients and multidisciplinary team staff.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation using Trust IT systems.
- Engage in continuous professional development and complete all mandatory training.
