We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals who have at least 12 months full‑time or the equivalent hours of experience on an acute ward, who are looking for their next challenge. As a Registered Nurse on the Intensive Care Unit, you will be invited to work within the integrated multidisciplinary team. In return, the ICU will offer a commitment to your professional development by supporting comprehensive induction and orientation training, which will include a bespoke in‑house critical care training programme that will help guide and develop you to become a skilled critical care nurse. You will participate in the assessment and planning of the care needs of critically ill patients and their relatives, including the development, implementation, and evaluation of care.

The ICU @ Torbay Hospital is a 14‑bed mixed unit caring for patients who require ICU (level 3) and HDU (level 2) care. The ICU team works in a multidisciplinary, patient‑centred way to ensure a high standard of patient care for both ICU and HDU patients and their families. There is a strong ethos of education and development with a focus on individual staff developing their skills and contributing to innovation in care.
