Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead our research admin team which has a fundamental role in bringing research opportunities to patients in our care. We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to build excellent relationships with staff from across our organisation, overseeing and coordinating the timely set up of research trials.
You will be responsible for a team of staff, ensuring high standards of administrative processes over the life cycle of a research study from the set up to the close down of our trials. We are committed to building on our proven track record and establishing ourselves as one of the best research teams in the UK.
Main duties of the job
- This role involves being the first point of contact for researchers and assisting the Senior R&D Management Team in ensuring that high quality systems are established to support the timely delivery of research projects, without compromising on our commitment to maintaining strong research governance standards. The post holder has overall responsibility for:
- Managing a team of research administrative support staff
- Managing the feasibility, set-up and approvals process for research studies in accordance with national guidelines/regulations
- Monitoring study close-down activities to ensure staff are routinely processing studies for archiving
- Providing training and advice on best research practice
- Monitoring the compliance of research activity against the legislation which governs health and social care research
