Job Summary Exciting opportunities are available to join the Endoscopy team at Torbay Hospital. The department has recently opened its new £5m Endoscopy Suite and dedicated training facility. You will need a mix of skills including the ability to develop effective working relationships and effective time management. The Endoscopy unit at Torbay Hospital has been recognised nationally for its high standards of patient care, recognised as an exemplar site for Endoscopy care, training and Bowel Cancer Screening. The Endoscopy Unit delivers an extended service to include evenings and weekends.
Main duties of the job
To be able to work as part of the decontamination team and the wider Endoscopy Unit team in a collaborative and respectful way
To assist in the decontamination process for use in direct patient care, in accordance with policies and procedure
Working with soiled items returned from clinical procedures for Decontamination and Sterilisation
Book clinical items in and out of the Endoscopy Unit
To adhere to the Trust\'s policy on confidentiality
To be aware and update knowledge of hospital policies and procedures from the Trusts intranet
To be responsible for own knowledge of the Trust\'s and Departmental Health & Safety Policy and Risk Register
