Buxton FC is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Lead Coach to oversee the delivery and development of our Under 19 Education Football Academy. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced coach to play a leading role in developing young footballers in both their sporting and personal progression.
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm; Wednesday (Match Day) flexible with timings, location dependent; Occasional Evenings for recruitment events and other club nights.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, preparation and delivery of high-quality coaching sessions, creating an engaging environment that supports player development and performance. They will also lead the academy's annual recruitment programme, building on established relationships with local schools, football clubs and colleges to attract prospective student-athletes.
The role also includes working closely with academy administration staff to coordinate match days, fixtures, transport, trips, paperwork and other academy activities, ensuring the programme operates efficiently throughout the season.
Further integration with club staff will include working with the Analysis team to support reflections on matches and feeding back to players. This will help aid ILP work with the players in meetings and on pitch sessions.
Communication with relevant other staff within the Academy structure including Coaches, S&C, Medical & Analysts in a professional manner is also a necessity.
