We are seeking a skilled and motivated Paramedic to join our multidisciplinary team at Buxted, East Hoathly and Manor Oak Surgeries. This role offers the opportunity to work autonomously within primary care, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to a diverse population. The post-holder will use advanced clinical assessment and decision-making skills to manage a range of acute presentations, including minor illness and injury, while supporting same-day access and home visiting services. Working within their scope of practice, they will assess, treat, refer, and signpost patients as appropriate. As a key member of the team, the Paramedic will collaborate with GPs and other healthcare professionals to provide safe, coordinated care, while promoting self-management and supporting ongoing service development.

Main duties of the job include delivering high-quality clinical care through assessment, diagnosis and management of patients presenting with acute and urgent conditions, including same-day requests and home visits. They will undertake clinical procedures such as ECGs, blood sampling and other investigations within their scope of practice. The role includes making appropriate referrals, prescribing where qualified, and ensuring accurate and timely clinical record-keeping. The Paramedic will also support health promotion and patient self-management by providing advice and signposting to relevant services. In addition, the post-holder will contribute to clinical governance, service development and quality improvement, while working collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team and participating in ongoing training and professional development.
