Purpose of this role
The BUUK Group Procurement Team are seeking a Procurement professional to own categories of spend, drive commercial value, risk reduction, and governance across a national stakeholder base. Providing expert support to the Procurement Manager, acting as a trusted advisor to the business throughout the Procurement Cycle.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Provide market intelligence to business stakeholders seeking to engage new suppliers of goods and services.
- Leading assigned sourcing initiatives, which may vary in terms of scope and scale.
- Support tendering activities, ensuring value for money and the highest possible levels of service.
- Collaborate with the Procurement Admin function to onboard appropriately qualified suppliers, and maintain their compliance to company standards.
- Ensure all spend is supported by appropriate contractual arrangements.
- Develop and maintain reporting tools to provide accurate, accessible and relevant supplier data to support decision making activity across the business.
- Ensure compliance with Group Procurement Policies at all stages of the Procurement Cycle.
- Build relationships with key suppliers where Procurement leads, and support business stakeholders leading on other engagements.
- Identify opportunities for value improvement, supplier rationalisation and risk mitigation.
- Create visible category plans, assembled in line with stakeholder collaboration and wider business goals.
Qualifications
- CIPS Qualification to a minimum of level 3.
Experience/Knowledge
- Experience of procurement activity in a commercial environment.
- A background in sourcing, tendering and negotiation exercises.
- Demonstrable cross functional stakeholder management experience.
Abilities/Skills
- Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills at all levels.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office programs at a high level.
- Strong customer focus.
- Ability to be a proactive team player.
Desirable
- MCIPS or studying towards.
- Degree or Postgraduate qualification.
- Understanding of utility construction activities.
