GTC, part of the BUUK Infrastructure Group, are looking for a Tendering Engineer who would like to help us reach our mission to earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service.

Purpose of this role: Responsible for the planning and costing of utility networks.

Your key responsibilities are:

  • Interpret customer requirements to ensure quotations meet customer expectations.
  • Checking network demand calculations.
  • Applying to upstream Utility network owners to obtain connection offers and resolve queries.
  • Costing projects to provide a quotation for new Utility networks to the customer.
  • Checking of projects.
  • Designing gas and electric networks to ensure they are fit for purpose.
  • Working in a timely manner to ensure services are delivered within standards.
  • Liaise with customers to resolve technical queries.
  • Liaise with Regional Sales Managers and customers to strategise the delivery for complex developments.
  • Any other duties as required by the manager.

Qualifications:

  • City & Guilds Level 2 - Electrical Power Networks or equivalent.

Experience/Knowledge:

  • Experience of costing Utility networks.

Abilities/Skills:

  • Efficient and accurate data entry.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Sound decision making ability.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to prioritise work effectively.
  • Support and work collaboratively with colleagues.

Desirable:

  • Ability to train others.
  • Technical knowledge of the principles of gas and electricity network designs.
  • Advanced analytical skills.
