GTC, part of the BUUK Infrastructure Group, are looking for a Tendering Engineer who would like to help us reach our mission to earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service.
Purpose of this role: Responsible for the planning and costing of utility networks. Your key responsibilities are:
- Interpret customer requirements to ensure quotations meet customer expectations.
- Checking network demand calculations.
- Applying to upstream Utility network owners to obtain connection offers and resolve queries.
- Costing projects to provide a quotation for new Utility networks to the customer.
- Checking of projects.
- Designing gas and electric networks to ensure they are fit for purpose.
- Working in a timely manner to ensure services are delivered within standards.
- Liaise with customers to resolve technical queries.
- Liaise with Regional Sales Managers and customers to strategise the delivery for complex developments.
- Any other duties as required by the manager.
Qualifications: City & Guilds Level 2 - Electrical Power Networks or equivalent.
Experience/Knowledge: Experience of costing Utility networks.
Abilities/Skills:
- Efficient and accurate data entry.
- Effective communication skills.
- Sound decision making ability.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to prioritise work effectively.
- Support and work collaboratively with colleagues.
Desirable:
- Ability to train others.
- Technical knowledge of the principles of gas and electricity network designs.
- Advanced analytical skills.
