We are looking for an Asset Integrity Lead who would like to help us reach our mission to earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service. We are ideally looking for someone based in the Leeds/Middlesbrough area. This is a field-based role covering the North. As this covers a large region this role may include the occasional overnight stay.
Purpose of this role
To ensure the delivery of a high-quality asset base which will support the long-term operation and maintenance of IWNL networks. To assist with the development of site-specific resilience planning and the move towards smart networks along with maintaining industry-leading levels of leakage.
Your key responsibilities are
- We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven individual to join our small but rapidly expanding team.
- Being a member of a small team means the successful candidate will be expected to have a can-do attitude, work proactively, and take an interest in all the company’s activities.
- The role will require the ability to perform routine tasks to agreed deadlines and react to incidents requiring intervention.
- Installation/deployment/analysis of Network Performance Loggers.
- Development and implementation of Network Resilience plans for new and existing high priority Water and Wastewater networks.
- Lead on the IWNL Fire & Rescue Services liaison programme and provide technical support to the Asset Maintenance team where remedial works are required.
- Provide technical support to the IWNL asset inspection programme and where appropriate undertake % of site audits.
- Work with the wider BUUK business to identify data gaps and assess options for new and innovative ways that IWNL can capture network performance data.
- To take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and other persons who may be affected by your acts and omissions as laid down in the organisations Health and Safety Policy, and to comply with all health and safety legislation as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Minimum Grade C GCSE in Science, Maths and English.
- Experience using Microsoft Office programmes, particularly Microsoft Excel.
Experience/Knowledge

Abilities/Skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with large datasets whilst spotting and dealing with data anomalies.
Desirable
- Educated to degree level or similar experience within the multi-utility sector.
- Experience in developing and maintaining relationships at all levels with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in delivering against the National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC) Guidance Document.
- Experience of operating apparatus on live Water Networks.
- Ability to read site plans and maps.
- Ability to deliver high customer service standards.
Conditions of Employment
- You are required to have your criminal records checked through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). This is due to going into customers' homes.
- You will be required to participate in a standby rota.
- You will hold a driving licence.
