GTC, part of the BUUK Infrastructure Group, are looking for a Records CAD Technician who would like to help us reach our mission to earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service.
Purpose of this role: To provide support to the engineering operational activities by keeping our drawings up to date with the latest design and as laid information.
Your key responsibilities are:
- To produce detailed drawings for issue to Contractors, Developers, Auditors, and internal staff using the company GIS and CAD software.
- To process and interpret drawings received from Contractors, Developers and Engineers to ensure up to date and accurate drawing records.
- To work efficiently to ensure you are meeting company service level agreements.
- To maintain a high level of quality.
- Ensure drawings meet company regulations and industry standards.
- Any other duties as required by the Network Records Manager.
Qualifications: Minimum of 4 GCSEs or equivalent.
Experience/Knowledge: Knowledge of health and safety legislation.
Abilities/Skills:
- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal), numeracy and IT skill.
- Attention to detail is essential for accurate records and quality.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office programmes or equivalent.
Desirable:
- Geographical information system (GIS) or AutoCAD experience.
- Multi-tasking and responsibility for own workload.
- Understanding of the utilities industry.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Good problem-solving skills.
