GTC, part of the BUUK Infrastructure Group, are looking for a Sales & Tendering Support Manager who would like to help us reach our mission to earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service.
Purpose of this role
To lead the sales and tendering support teams and create a high-quality, efficient and customer focused environment for the administration of the sales and tendering support functions.
Your key responsibilities are:
- Lead, support, and motivate the sales support office teams to ensure high performance and engagement.
- Assist the Sales function in managing and supporting the sales team's daily requirements.
- Provide proactive support to the wider department to drive performance and efficiency.
- Take ownership of sales and tendering reporting and forecasting ensuring outputs are timely, accurate, and professionally presented.
- Support the implementation of Salesforce and other applicable systems.
- Oversee the development of Sales support team to Salesforce super-users.
- Oversee the analysis of internal and external data to identify trends, evaluate the sales pipeline, and forecast future opportunities.
- Review and implement relevant policies and procedures to streamline operations and enhance team efficiency.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment, promoting open communication and teamwork.
- Contribute to ongoing process development by collaborating with stakeholders across the business to improve customer outcomes.
- Deliver consistently high-quality work that meets departmental and company standards.
- Manage staffing levels, conduct regular team reviews, delegate tasks, and organise team training.
- Maintain a professional, courteous, and customer-focused approach in all interactions.
- Any other duties commensurate with the role/as deemed appropriate by the Commercial Manager/Head of Tendering or Sales Director.
Qualifications
- A level or equivalent.
- Management or leadership qualification, or willing to work towards one.
Experience/Knowledge
- Efficient and accurate data entry.
- Previous experience of leading a team.
Abilities/Skills
- Effective leadership.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Sound decision making ability.
- Excellent organisational and effective prioritisation skills.
- Advanced analytical and data management skills.
- Excellent internal and external stakeholder management.
Desirable
- Degree or equivalent in business or technical related subject.
- Utilities or sales/tendering experience.
- Experience of managing change.
- Salesforce/CRM experience.
- Experience using BI systems.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel required (pivot tables, filtering, lookups, CSV files), proficiency in Word, PowerPoint.
