We are looking for Assistant Financial Accountant who would like to help us reach our mission to earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service.
This is a fixed term contract for up to 15 months.
Purpose of this role To undertake accounting month-end processes including journal posting, balance sheet reconciliations and preparation of the group consolidation file.
Additionally role assists in the preparation of monthly management accounts, preparing annual financial statements under FRS 102 and tax compliance Your key responsibilities are Accounting & Monthly
- Financial
- Reporting
Processes: consolidation adjustments, prepayments, accruals and fixed asset journals as well as other ad-hoc journals as required.
Reconciliation of intercompany balances across the group and resolution of differences.
Preparation of the monthly consolidation file and summary financial information.
Preparation of monthly management accounts and board packs.
Preparation of company balance sheet reconciliations.
Maintain fixed asset registers.
Accounting & Tax
Compliance: Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements under FRS102 to meet the Groups statutory reporting requirements.
Support the external audit process, dealing with queries in a timely manner as required for relevant areas.
Assist with the preparation of annual Corporation Tax returns for submission to HMRC.
Preparation of P11Ds and PAYE Settlement Agreement (PSA) tax calculations relating to employee benefits for submission annually to HMRC.
Qualifications AAT qualified or part-qualified ACCA or equivalent.
Experience/Knowledge Can demonstrate an understanding of financial accounting either through previous work experience or study.
Customer Focus delivers a consistently high quality service to external and internal stakeholders.
Desirable Experience of preparation of monthly accounts for a group of companies.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel What can you expect from us Cost of living annual pay review.
