GTC, part of the BUUK Infrastructure Group, are looking for Revenue Assurance Metering Agents who would like to help us reach our mission to earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service. We are ideally looking for someone based in Newcastle. This is a field-based role covering the North and Scotland and will involve overnight stays when required due to the size of area that needs covering.

Purpose of this role

Revenue Assurance and Metering Agents will be responsible for investigating BUUK's multi-utility sites across regions in the UK, contributing in a vital role in ensuring BUUK's asset portfolio is accurate. Obtaining the reads and metering information from the meters and submitting in a timely manner to increase company revenue.

Your key responsibilities are:

  • Reporting of findings back to the office in a timely manner and in accordance with company policies.
  • Undertaking accurate Revenue Assurance, Meter Reading of meters, and site visits across defined regions in the UK.
  • Ensuring targets are met and continuously maintaining high-quality data.
  • Processing field findings and ensuring internal and industry systems are accurately updated, where required.
  • Providing accurate quality work within the Team and wider Department.
  • Reporting any asset defects or issues to Field Force Team Leader and Operations Team immediately.
  • Undertaking all relevant training to be proficient in the role, including internal systems.
  • Maintaining and self-managing scheduled workload of investigation work.
  • Ensuring that investigations are carried out in line with company procedures.
  • Maintaining a professional, friendly, helpful, and informative work environment.
  • Taking ownership and responsibility for work areas and support the Field Force Team Leader where required.
  • Having a strong interest in operational field-based activity.
  • Helping to promote and maintain a Safe and Healthy working environment.
  • Fulfilling targets and objectives set in accordance with quantity of meter read and Revenue Assurance work and region coverage, within allocated area.
  • Identifying connections which have not been recorded on internal systems.

Qualifications

  • GCSEs.

Experience/Knowledge

  • Basic IT knowledge.

Abilities/Skills

  • Ability to perform under pressure and to tight timescales when required, along with managing own workload.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
  • Good organisational skills and commitment to achieve targets and improve data quality.
  • Ability to work to their own initiative.
  • Ability to drive long distances.
  • Ability to maintain a helpful and informative work environment.
  • Efficient and accurate with data entry.
  • Health & Safety awareness with the ability to identify risks and report.

Desirable

  • GCSEs level 4 (C) or above.
  • Experience with meter reading or revenue assurance work within metering.
  • Experience travelling across the country.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications.
  • Good communication skills.
