GTC, part of the BUUK Infrastructure Group, are looking for a Tendering Engineer to help us reach our mission to “earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service”.
Purpose of this role
Responsible for the planning and costing of utility networks.
Responsibilities
- Interpret customer requirements to ensure quotations meet customer expectations.
- Check network demand calculations.
- Apply to upstream Utility network owners to obtain connection offers and resolve queries.
- Cost projects to provide a quotation for new Utility networks to the customer.
- Check projects.
- Design gas and electric networks to ensure they are fit for purpose.
- Work in a timely manner to ensure services are delivered within standards.
- Liaise with customers to resolve technical queries.
- Liaise with Regional Sales Managers and customers to strategise the delivery for complex developments.
- Perform any other duties as required by the manager.
Qualifications
City & Guilds Level 2 - Electrical Power Networks or equivalent or working towards.
Experience and Knowledge
Experience of costing Utility networks.
Abilities and Skills
- Efficient and accurate data entry.
- Sound decision making ability.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to prioritise work effectively.
- Support and work collaboratively with colleagues.
- Ability to train others.
- Technical knowledge of the principals of gas and electricity network designs.
