This is a part-time position (3 days per week) working as part of a finance team of two, supporting the Management Accountant in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the finance function. The role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative studio environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Processing purchase invoices, ensuring accurate coding and timely entry into the accounting system
  • Assisting with sales invoicing, including preparation and distribution to clients
  • Supporting credit control activities, including monitoring outstanding debts and following up on payments
  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
  • Performing bank reconciliations and assisting with cash flow monitoring
  • Supporting month-end processes, including journals and accruals
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and filing systems
  • Assisting with expense processing and staff reimbursements
  • Assisting with processing and reconciling the company credit card
  • Liaising & supporting the Studio team with their purchasing
  • Providing general administrative support to the finance function as required

About you:

  • Has previous experience in a finance or accounts assistant role
  • Has strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Is proficient in accounting software (e.g. Xero, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft Excel
  • A good communicator who takes a professional approach
  • Has the ability to work independently and as part of a small team
  • An organised, reliable individual who is able to manage workload effectively within a part-time schedule
  • Experience working within a professional services or architectural practice
  • Familiarity with project-based accounting or time recording systems
  • AAT qualified or studying (or equivalent experience) preferred
