Job Overview
Recruiting on behalf of our client who is developing a new Low Secure Children’s Residential Home close to York. This high-specification service will provide therapeutic, safe, and structured care for children and young people. We are seeking an experienced Ofsted, Registered Manager to lead the service from inception, including Ofsted registration, operational setup, alongside the RI and ongoing management. This is not an established service needing maintenance. This is a blank canvas ready for leadership, vision, and excellence.
Your Role
- Lead full Ofsted registration and service mobilisation alongside the RI
- Shape the culture, values, and operational framework
- Build and inspire a high-performing team
- Ensure exceptional safeguarding and therapeutic care
- Drive sustainable occupancy and service growth
- Work closely with senior leadership on strategy and expansion
The Ideal Leader
- Experienced in children’s residential care at senior level with at least 3 years in an Ofsted Registration Post
- Confident navigating Ofsted and regulatory frameworks
- Skilled in building teams and leading culture change
- Commercially aware and outcome-focused
- Passionate about therapeutic, child-centred practice
