Registered Manager – Children’s Home Location: - King’s Lynn £42,624–£45,793 (up to £50,557 - performance related) Full time: 37hrs pw on site Not all management roles are created equal. This one comes with muddy trainers, big emotions, team victories, the occasional challenging day (or two!) and those life-changing moments that remind you exactly why you do what you do. At Buttons Recruitment, we’re looking for a Registered Manager to lead our clients Disability Children’s Homes. Someone who can bring out the best in a small but mighty team, create a home where young people feel safe and supported, and help them believe in themselves and their future again. So, what are we looking for? - We’re looking for someone who knows their stuff, leads with heart and understands that working in children’s residential care is about so much more than what’s written in a job description. - Someone who can bring the experience, the compassion, the leadership skills and, when needed, a healthy dose of patience (and a good sense of humour!). Here’s what you’ll bring to the team: - Experience that counts – strong experience in children’s residential care and the leadership skills to bring out the best in your team. - The right qualifications – at least a Level 3 childcare-related Diploma. We love people who are keen to keep learning, too! - Understanding that makes a difference – a strong understanding of trauma-informed practice and therapeutic parenting approaches, recognising that behaviour is often a way of communicating something deeper. - A knack for making a house a home – a commitment to creating a safe, stable and welcoming environment where young people feel they belong, feel valued and know they matter. - A team player (with a few extra contacts!) – the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, families and external professionals, because supporting young people works best when everyone pulls in the same direction. - A passion for doing better – a commitment to continuous improvement, developing your team and helping everyone deliver the very best care possible. Most importantly, you’ll believe that every young person deserves to feel safe, understood and supported — even on the days when things get a little messy (sometimes literally!). Here’s just some of what you can look forward to when you join the team. - Free, career-enhancing qualifications to help you grow, develop and take the next step in your career. - A £1,000 referral reward when you recommend someone who goes on to join the organisations care services. Good people know good people! (Subject to conditions.) - 33 days’ annual leave, including bank holidays, with the option to purchase additional leave. - Extra annual leave for loyalty, with additional service-related holiday from your second year. - Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) for support when you need it. - Company-funded medical cash plan to help with eligible healthcare costs. - Enhanced sick pay and family-friendly leave, because life doesn’t always go to plan. - Pension salary sacrifice scheme to help you plan for the future. - Life assurance worth three times your annual salary, offering added peace of mind for you and your loved ones. And that’s not all! There are even more benefits to enjoy. Because making a difference to young people matters — but so does making sure the people who support them feel valued, supported and appreciated too. A quick note on eligibility: Applicants must have the right to work in the UK without requiring visa sponsorship. Unfortunately, we’re unable to offer sponsorship for this role
