We are recruiting for not 1 but 2 small, separate and privately owned care homes nestled in the beautiful Norfolk countryside, both known for delivering exceptional, person-centred care in a warm and close-knit environment. Opportunities to join are rare, mainly because at both, the teams tend to stay for the long haul (retirement is the usual exit strategy!). We are now discreetly exploring the market for a Deputy Care Home Manager to support the continued smooth running of these homes and to work closely alongside an experienced long-standing Home Manager.
The Role
- Assist in the day-to-day management of the home
- Support, mentor, and inspire a stable and dedicated team
- Ensure high standards of care, compliance, and resident wellbeing
- Play a key role in maintaining the warm, “home-from-home” feel we are proud of
- Step up in the absence of the Manager.
About You
- Have experience in a senior care role (Deputy or strong Team Leader ready to step up)
- Understands the balance between compliance and compassion
- Leads with quiet confidence, a sense of humour, and a genuine passion for care
- Values stability, relationships, and quality over corporate pace
- You will be a car driver with access to a vehicle
- Has a clear concise understanding of CQC Regulations
Why this role?
- A rare opportunity in highly regarded privately run homes
- Supportive ownership with a genuine interest in quality care (not just KPIs)
- A settled, loyal team — no revolving doors at either location (retirement is normally the exit strategy)
- Both Companies really do look after their staff, from the bottom to the top.
- A peaceful countryside setting that makes the commute worthwhile
A Note on Discretion
This is a confidential search for Deputy Managers, and all enquiries will be handled with the utmost sensitivity. If you’re someone who believes that great care is built on consistency, kindness, and knowing every resident by name (and probably their tea preference), we’d love to hear from you. Apply in confidence by forwarding your CV to us or reach out for an informal, discreet conversation.
Please be aware, once an offer of employment is made, it is conditional on acceptance of referencing and DBS checks being carried out. This role is not suitable for those requiring sponsorship; please do not apply if you require sponsorship.
