The Role:

As Managing Director, you will be responsible for shaping the company’s strategy, driving income generation, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. You will lead a talented team, build relationships with insurers and clients, and identify new business opportunities, including acquisitions and partnerships. Your leadership will directly impact the long‑term success and growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the annual business plan, setting clear targets and strategies for growth.
• Lead, motivate, and manage the team, ensuring skills and talents are fully utilised.
• Ensure all business operations are FCA‑compliant, including consumer protection, financial crime, and data security.
• Drive new business initiatives, cross‑selling opportunities, and explore avenues for business acquisition.
• Maintain strong relationships with insurers, underwriters, and strategic partners.
• Oversee all operational, administrative, and compliance processes, ensuring efficiency and adherence to company policies.
• Promote a culture of continuous professional development, learning, and high performance.

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and FCA regulations.
• Proven experience in a leadership or senior management role within the insurance sector.
• Exceptional communication, organisational, and relationship‑building skills.
• Confidence in driving business strategy and delivering tangible results.
• IT literate with experience in insurance platforms (e.g., Acturis) and Microsoft Office.
• Commitment to professional development and compliance excellence.
• Significant experience in business development metrics and pipeline development.
• Track record of successfully leading teams through change and growth.
• Able to manage full P&L responsibility for own business unit.
