Supporting the manufacturing & fulfillment facility here at Rudie’s Kitchen in order to ensure that stock movements around the whole site run smoothly. In return for your dedication, we offer a competitive wage of £12.84 per hour plus a shift premium of 20% (£15.41 per hour) base salary is £27,468, with 20% (£32,961).
A bit about the role:
- Operate mechanical handling equipment: Reach Truck (essential), counterbalance, and ride-on forklift trucks.
- Responsible for the safe movement of vehicles and trailers at Rudie’s Kitchen, Ace’s Pantry, and the adjoining public road.
- Work in a safe way following all appropriate safety procedures and wearing protective equipment correctly at all times.
- Conduct quality checks ensuring that we meet product specifications.
- Stock count and systems transactions.
- General facility hygiene - floors, walls and conveyors etc.
- Other general tasks such as waste processing, order packing etc.
- Work to relevant standards and Key Performance Indicators.
- Occasional attendance and contribution at daily review meetings and regular attendance/contribution at warehouse performance reviews.
About the location & schedule:
Located in Doncaster, Rudie’s Kitchen is where our Butternut meals will be packaged for our customers all over the UK. This is a full-time permanent contract, with a rolling average of 41 hours per week on a shift rotation with a mixture of days/nights and some weekend work. Shifts are 7am to 7pm (days) and 7pm to 7am (nights).
A bit about you:
- Valid Reach Truck license and significant experience (this is the main focus of the role).
- Valid Class 1 (HGV Category C+E) license for shunting duties.
- Previous experience with Counterbalance, PPT, or LLOP is highly desirable.
- Confident in the use of warehouse IT equipment.
- Comfortable working in temperatures as low as -40 degrees and outside yard work.
- Able to be adaptable to an ever-changing work environment.
- Working level of speaking English.
- Ability to read English.
- Numerate (able to understand and work with numbers).
- Comfortable working in a chilled environment.
- Committed to food quality & safety.
