As a Class 1 (HGV) Driver supporting our manufacturing and fulfillment operations at Rudie’s Kitchen and Aces Pantry, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the safe, smooth and timely movement of trailers across our sites. Working with an outstanding team and supporting a fast‑growing operation, this is an ideal time to join Butternut Box. We offer a competitive wage of £12.84 per hour plus a shift premium of 20% (£15.41) per hour. Base salary is £27,468, with 20% (£32,961) additional per annum.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out on‑site shunting, ensuring trailers are positioned correctly for loading, unloading and storage.
  • Safely move Class 1 vehicles and trailers between Rudie’s Kitchen, Aces Pantry and the adjoining public road.
  • Complete pre‑start checks on vehicles and trailers, identifying and reporting any defects.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear the correct PPE at all times.
  • Coordinate with Warehouse and Production teams to ensure smooth trailer flow and minimal downtime.
  • Conduct basic quality and safety checks to ensure compliance with site and legislative standards.
  • Assist with stock movements and support site logistics where needed to keep operations running efficiently.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and operate with a “clean as you go” mindset.
  • Occasionally attend daily review meetings and contribute to performance discussions.
