Fresh Food, Happy Dogs. We believe dogs deserve the healthiest, most natural and tastiest meals – with none of the nasties. That’s why we make FRESHly prepared food, cooked just like you would at home and delivered direct to our customers in perfect portions. As a B-Corp certified company, you’re joining a sustainable business that genuinely cares about our people, our products and our impact on the planet. Our goal is simple: to help dogs live healthier, happier, and longer lives, while leaving humans smiling after every interaction.

This role historically receives a high volume of applications, so to help us identify the best candidate to join our squad, we truly appreciate cover letters that showcase your interest in the role, our mission, and of course... cats and dogs.

We're looking for a proactive, creative, and highly organised Events Coordinator to join our Sales Operations team, supporting the wider Direct Sales department at Butternut Box and Marro. This role sits within one of our most exciting acquisition channels: Events. Every year we take both of our brands to hundreds of events across the UK with the aim of meeting dog and cat owners and introducing them to Butternut Box and Marro.

As an Events Coordinator, the sales roadmap starts with you. You'll play a pivotal role behind the scenes, helping to plan, coordinate, and deliver exceptional events that enable our sales teams to perform their best. When an event delivers brilliant results, it's because you helped make it happen – from choosing the right opportunity and securing the best deal, to creating a seamless experience for our salespeople on the ground. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, love solving problems, enjoy bringing structure to complexity, and get a buzz from turning plans into reality, we'd love to hear from you.

You'll own key department KPIs and use performance data to guide your decisions – understanding which events we return to, which we can improve year after year, and where we should invest next.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Develop and manage an exciting, strategically planned events roadmap that drives customer acquisitions and builds awareness of Butternut Box and Marro.
  • Research, discover, and pitch new, unique, high-potential sales opportunities for both brands – county fairs, food festivals, exhibitions, shopping centres, high streets.
  • Develop strong relationships with event organisers and protect our Butternut Box and Marro brand reputation with every interaction.
  • Secure prime pitch spots, coordinate accommodation, and work closely with our internal logistics team, setting every event up for success.
  • Secure the best possible rates, prime stand locations, and high-impact event packages to ensure maximum value.
  • Work closely with your Logistics team and Regional Sales Managers to deliver smooth, impactful event experiences.
  • Track and analyse event performance against KPIs, sharing actionable insights to help refine our strategy and drive growth.

What we're looking for:

  • You have sharp attention to detail – juggling a packed weekly schedule of multiple events without dropping a ball is your thing.
  • You're a natural relationship-builder, whether that's charming an event organiser over email or briefing the team before a big weekend.
  • You are genuinely excited by the challenge of getting brands in front of their target audiences in creative ways.
  • You think beyond the obvious, remain naturally curious, and are always looking for the next opportunity.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment and stay calm when priorities shift quickly.
  • You bring experience in events, sales, business development, or a similarly fast-paced commercial role.
  • You love cats and dogs.

The interview process:

  • Initial Screening Call: 45-minute remote chat with a member from the Talent Acquisition team to discuss your background and passion for our brands.
  • Take home Task: Designed to showcase your job capability and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Competency Interview: Remote interview focusing on your role-specific skills and experience with our Sales leadership team.
  • Values & Culture Interview: In-person interview focusing on brand alignment, culture, and team fit with key team members.

Our benefits:

  • 25 days holiday (plus 8 bank holidays) and an additional day for every year of service up to 5 years.
  • 5 additional, paid 'paws' days off per year dedicated to your learning, development, or personal wellbeing.
  • £500 personal learning & development budget to sharpen your skills.
  • Share options grant – everyone owns a piece of Butternut's success.
  • Significant discount on our Fresh food, to keep your own dogs as healthy as our customers.
  • Enhanced parental leave.
  • Flexible core working hours.
  • Cycle to work scheme.
  • Pension with NEST.
  • Private Medical Insurance with Vitality.
  • Private Dental Insurance with Bupa.
  • Paid time off for fertility treatments and pregnancy loss.
  • Paid sabbaticals for squad members with 5 or more years of service at Butternut.
  • Discounted gym access through MyGymDiscounts.
  • Lots of office dogs.

Important things to note:

  • While optional, we strongly recommend attaching a brief cover letter sharing why you're excited about this role, our mission, and your love for cats and dogs.
  • We recommend getting your application in as soon as possible. We reserve the right to close the role early.
  • Our team thrives on collaboration. We spend 3 days a week in our West London office and 2 days working from wherever you’re most productive.
  • We’re a small recruitment team. We aim to respond to everyone personally, but if we’re flooded with brilliant applications, we may need to close the role early.
  • For this specific role, we’re unable to offer visa sponsorship, so you’ll need the right to work in the UK.

We believe in a seat at the table for everyone. Butternut Box is an equal opportunity employer. We believe that to make the best food for all dogs, we need a team that represents all humans.
