We're looking for an experienced Brand Marketing Lead on a 12 month fixedâterm contract responsible for driving longâterm growth in the Fresh dog food category, and for the Butternut Box brand in the UK & Ireland. As the European market leader in Fresh, we have built a brand around challenging the category to raise the bar through higher quality ingredients, better cooking processes, and superior customer service. This is because we believe dogs deserve better.
To support our next phase of rapid growth, we're hiring for a multiâskilled brand marketer who can truly lead on defining and executing our UK brand plan, ensuring we're effectively analysing our performance against the goals and objectives set. The role requires an understanding of how different channels and activities can work together to drive a bigger impact than the sum of their parts, as well as an ability to translate customer insight into clear creative briefs and assets.
You will report directly to the UK Managing Director, and will have a dotted line to the Global Head of Brand based in the UK.
In this role you can expect to:
- Take ownership of growing the Butternut Box brand sustainably and efficiently in the UK & Ireland, including:
- Executing impactful brand marketing activity across paid, owned and earned channels in the UK & Ireland
- Owning and communicating the brand planning calendar for the UK
- Contributing to global campaign briefing and leading channelâspecific briefing processes
- Seeking out new channels and activities to deliver brandâled growth
- Scoping partnership opportunities with other brands, organisations and talent
- Running carefully devised regional or channelâspecific tests
- Analysing overall brand performance through regular brand health tracking led centrally
- Reviewing and feeding back on creative assets produced by our internal Creative Studio
- Producing messaging guidelines for partners to inform the production of assets
- Periodic tracking of our delivered investment against the budget we've committed to
- Acting as the lead contact for agencies and partners including negotiating terms and costs
- Crossâfunctional teams e.g. Creative Studio, Global Brand Team, Data & Business Intelligence, CRM, etc.
- UK & Ireland growth teams e.g. Marketing, Direct Sales, Retail
- Global teams e.g. regional Brand Managers and Growth Managers
A Bit About You:
- Experience in building compelling brand plans using customer and market insight
- Adept at executing campaigns with direct experience buying media for multiple channels
- A strong understanding of brand measurement principles, techniques, and KPIs
- Experience in managing all or part of a brand budget
- An eye for impactful design & copywriting and the ability to feedback on creative work
- Very strong communication skills and relationshipâbuilding with internal & external teams
