Pay / Salary: £13.78 + 20% Shift allowance = £16.54 per hour (£35,387.06 per year)

Located in Doncaster, Rudie\'s Kitchen is where our Butternut meals will be gently cooked, using human-quality ingredients. Rudie\'s is also where we will be packaging our meals and boxing them for our customers all over the UK. We are a close nit team, with a family feel, looking to welcome more like-minded people to our lovely team and keep work life fun and enjoyable.

A bit about the role

As a lead operator you would work in our Production team. In this role you can expect to:

  • Coordinate areas & shift responsibilities and work with the team leader to improve shift productivity (plan attainment)
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure a great customer experience
  • Be the go-to person for all other operatives on shift
  • Attend daily review meetings, appointing other operatives duties and appointing staff role change overs
  • Prepare for the shift ahead confirming enough materials and stock are prepared
  • Conduct quality checks ensuring that we meet product specifications
  • Perform machine/equipment hygiene and changeovers
  • Work to relevant standards and Key Performance Indicators
  • Be humble in work duties, being open to jump on the production line, get stuck in with cleaning duties and helping other areas of the business

A bit about you

  • Previous experience as a line leader or area leader within the food manufacturing sector
  • Ability to read and communicate confidently in English
  • Numerate (able to understand and work with numbers)
  • Available for a rotating shift schedule - a mixture of days / nights and some weekend working
  • Hard-working & diligent with a hunger to learn
  • Comfortable working with raw materials such as beef, pork, chicken, turkey, lamb
  • Flexible, pragmatic, resilient & humble
  • Committed to food quality & safety
  • Loves dogs (naturally)
