Butternut Box is looking for an Engineering Team Leader in Blyth, Worksop to lead the full shift, developing a high‑performing, resilient engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team of engineers on shift, setting tone for performance, accountability and engagement.
- Drive strong cross‑functional working with operations and other site teams, building effective relationships and better alignment across the business.
- Provide hands‑on technical leadership during day‑to‑day engineering activity, responding to challenges and supporting the team.
- Coach and manage people effectively, holding regular conversations, giving feedback, and helping individuals develop over time.
- Help bring structure and maturity to the function by identifying opportunities to improve ways of working and embedding practical processes.
- Keep the team focused through changing demands, maintaining momentum during busy periods and motivating people during peaks and troughs.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership experience from an engineering environment and ability to get the best from people.
- Technically credible, with a solid mechanical or electrical background and confidence to lead hands‑on.
- Personable relationship‑builder who works well with different teams and creates trust across functions.
