The predicted salary is between 10 - 16 £ per hour.
Our Welfare Assistants are at the heart of our visitor and squad experience, with a wide range of responsibilities front and back of house. In this role you’ll be the first point of contact for anyone walking through the door at our site in Blyth (close to Worksop and Doncaster). You’ll be responsible for meeting and greeting, ensuring the welfare areas are clean and well organised, food and refreshments are readily available, and that PPE and uniform is ordered in a timely manner and that everyone has what they need.
Working Hours: Your working hours will average at 84 hours over a 4 week pattern.
Pay: £13.08 per hour.
The shift pattern for this role is a 2 week repeating pattern as follows:
- Week 1 - Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday: 4pm - 10pm
- Week 2 - Wednesday and Thursday: 6am - 12pm.
In this role, you can expect to:
- Visitor & Squad Experience: Manage the welcome and greeting of our visitors on site, keeping everyone safe by ensuring our guests have completed appropriate pre-arrival medical questionnaires, and understand PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements. Setting up meeting rooms and clearing down as required for guests and internal squad members. Arranging outside catering as required and partnering with buffet and hot food providers.
- Communal Areas: Maintain standards of cleanliness and proactive hygiene in the communal spaces. Ensuring meeting rooms, communal spaces and the canteen area is kept sanitised, tidy and kitchenware is readily available and in good order. Ensuring the coffee and vending machines are kept stocked, food is rotated according to in-date products and the ordering of food, drinks and essentials are amended to meet popularity demand! Responding to the technical, maintenance and service needs of our vending machines (including coffee), dishwashers and fridges and partnering with our internal engineers and third party suppliers. Ensure fridges are kept tidy and items are removed from the fridge after 48 hours. Deep cleaning and domestic cleaning of communal areas.
- Administration: Full responsibility for the stock take and ordering of PPE on site, ensuring everyone has what they need to be able to work safely in their areas. Ordering uniform for new starters (including supporting with sizing) and refreshing uniform for our squad on a regular basis. Stocktaking of food and drinks in the vending machines and placing orders with our confectionary providers, ensuring that each item is priced correctly. Assist the wider people team in the planning and implementation of events, building excitement for our squad.
You must have some experience of using a computer, including email, ordering products online and updating bespoke systems for items such as PPE and uniform. This role also involves budgeting and the management of costs for the team. Loves dogs (naturally) and working with people. You’ll enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, with a varied workload, and the autonomy to really make a difference. Proactive and able to identify and prioritise their workload each day. Communicates in a warm and welcoming manner, and understands the importance of a good handover with the rest of the Welfare team. Passionate about people experience and a genuine affiliation with our Butternut Values. Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
