Supporting the manufacturing & fulfillment facility at Rudie’s Kitchen, ensuring smooth stock movements across the site. Competitive wage £13.35/hour plus 20% shift premium (£16.02). Base salary £28,556 (20% premium £34,268).
Responsibilities
- Operate mechanical handling equipment: Reach Truck (essential), counterbalance, and ride‑on forklift trucks.
- Perform shunting duties: safe movement of vehicles and trailers at Rudie’s Kitchen, Ace's Pantry, and adjoining public road; manoeuvre LGVs or trailer units into storage or loading bays.
- Work safely, following procedures and wearing PPE correctly.
- Conduct quality checks to meet product specifications.
- Stock count and system transactions.
- Maintain general facility hygiene (floors, walls, conveyors).
- Other general tasks: waste processing, order packing, etc.
- Meet relevant standards and Key Performance Indicators.
- Attend daily review meetings and warehouse performance reviews.

Working Hours
Full‑time permanent contract, rolling average of 41 hours/week on shift rotation (days nights and weekends). Day shifts 7am‑7pm, night shifts 7pm‑7am. Shift patterns: 4 on / 4 off = 2 day, 2 night; 5 on / 5 off = 3 days, 2 nights; 5 on / 5 off = 2 days, 3 nights.
About You
- Valid Reach Truck license & significant experience (essential).
- Valid Class 1 (HGV C+E) license for shunting duties (essential).
- Experience with Counterbalance, PPT, or LLOP desirable.
- Confident in use of warehouse IT equipment.
- Comfortable working in temperatures as low as -40°C and outdoor yard work.
- Adaptable to ever‑changing work environment.
- Working level of speaking & reading English.
- Numerate.
- Good attention to detail.
- Comfortable in chilled environment and raw protein processing.
- Committed to food quality & safety.
