Responsibilities
- Operational Responsibilities: Accountable for health and safety standards on shift, conduct daily Health and Safety audits with squad members, raise corrective actions for findings, and own the resolution.
- Accident Investigation: Complete thorough investigations through root cause analysis and near-miss reports, ensuring corrective actions are raised and closed in a timely manner.
- Training & Development: Review and develop staff by ensuring squad members are trained against relevant SOPs and required training/documentation.
- Labour Management: Manage labour effectively to maintain production, including holidays and absences, and proactively identify issues.
- Quality & Hygiene: Maintain GMP standards and verify IMS checks from cooking to cleaning of equipment.
- Leadership & Continuous Improvement: Provide supervision and leadership to the Production team, drive operational metrics (quality, output, waste), and respond to deviations from targets. Lead continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives that contribute to savings.
Communication & Partnership
- Communicate clearly with the SLT team when needed, especially if the Shift Operations Manager is away.
- Ensure daily handovers between departments with relevant detail for oncoming shifts.
- Collaborate with procurement and planning to ensure meal output meets sales demand.
- Work with multiple teams (People, Engineering, Technical, Warehouse, Order Fulfillment) to drive cohesive plans.
