Role Overview
As a Skilled Operator, you will work on the Fulfilment team, handling machinery, packing, and quality checks. The role involves a rotating shift schedule (7 am–7 pm) with an average of 41 hours per week, including occasional weekend work.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate machines such as case erectors, sealers, and PPTs.
- Unpack, pack, load, and unload boxes and finished goods; monitor fulfilment lines.
- Lead by example and act as a role model for other operators.
- Perform general tasks including waste processing and order packing.
- Meet standards and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Follow safety procedures and wear protective equipment at all times.
- Maintain facility hygiene (floors, walls, conveyors).
- Assist with warehouse duties as needed.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure product specifications are met.
Required Qualifications
- Previous machine operative experience in a food fulfilment environment is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of heavy‑duty and high‑speed machinery.
- Excellent knowledge of safety methods and hazard regulations.
- Working level proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Numerate – able to understand and work with numbers.
- Good attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a chilled environment and with raw protein (lamb, pork, turkey, chicken).
