Role Overview
As a Senior Campaign Director at Buttermilk, you will oversee the full campaign lifecycle for clients, ensuring efficient, profitable, and high-quality execution from discovery to content approvals. You will be responsible for setting and monitoring delivery timelines, managing client communications, and ensuring campaigns meet KPIs while protecting project profitability. Additionally, you will lead and mentor a team, fostering collaboration and excellence across the board.
Key Responsibilities
- Campaign Management & Process Optimisation: Oversee the creator process from discovery to content approvals, driving efficiency, profitability, and campaign success. Increase creator sign-up rates, reduce drop-out rates, and enhance content quality and campaign results. Innovate on optimisation of our wider agency delivery processes and feed back to Head of Creator Services.
- Timeline & Target Setting: Establish and monitor campaign delivery timelines and set clear, actionable targets for the team. Collaborate with clients, strategy, and data teams to recommend deliverables based on the client brief and set realistic KPIs.
- Client Communications: Manage client communications related to delivery, including timelines, creator management, and content approvals. Act as the escalation point for any team or client issues, ensuring smooth and effective communication.
- Financial & Margin Oversight: Oversee the financial performance of creator programs to ensure campaigns hit or exceed gross profit (GP) goals. Monitor margins and ensure resources are effectively managed to protect profitability.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Manage and mentor the campaign delivery team, providing both line and project management support. Ensure the team is aligned with both client expectations and internal KPIs, promoting a culture of high standards and collaboration.
- Reporting & Data Management: Provide input into client reports and status updates, ensuring accuracy and transparency in campaign progress. Conduct data checks and oversee dashboard reviews to track and optimise campaign performance.

- Timeline & Target Setting: Train and oversee the (Senior) Campaign Manager in setting clear campaign timelines. Support Campaign Manager in managing internal teams to meet deadlines (across multiple departments). Ensure targets are met.
- Client Communications: Train and support the (Senior) Campaign Manager in delivering clear and concise client communications for campaign & timeline updates. Deliver timely responses to clients.
- Financial & Margin Oversight: Train and oversee the (Senior) Campaign Manager on the profitability of creator programs to ensure campaigns meet or exceed GP (gross profit)/ campaign budget goals.
- Team Management & Development: Effectively manage the creator team by providing regular, constructive feedback to support individual and team performance. Facilitate professional growth and development for direct reports through coaching, training, and career progression opportunities.
- Reporting & Data Management: Train and oversee (Senior) Campaign Manager in analysis of results & pivots where required. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of dashboard insight inputting and reporting.

Required Experience & Skills
- 6+ years of experience in campaign or project management within an agency setting.
- Mandatory agency background with extensive experience in account management and Influencer Marketing.
- Strong project management experience with a proven ability to deliver successful campaigns.
- People management experience, with a demonstrated track record of mentoring and leading teams.
- Experience working with large conglomerate brands (e.g. Estee Lauder, L'Oreal).
- Experience managing always-on clients, with a focus on consistent delivery and client satisfaction.
