Role Overview
The Creator Director – Uber US is a senior leadership role responsible for end‑to‑end creator and content excellence across the Uber US account.
This Role Owns
- The quality and consistency of all creator output
- Negotiation strategy and commercial frameworks
- Talent and agent relationship development
- Team training across full lifecycle creator management (comms, negotiations, contracting, delivery)
Decision‑Making Authority
- Creator selection standards and approval frameworks
- Content quality benchmarks and creative expectations
- Negotiation strategy, rate guidance, and value‑add structures
- Escalation and resolution of senior talent or agent issues
- Contracting frameworks and talent agreement best practices
- Development of preferred talent and agency partnerships
Key Responsibilities
Creator & Content Quality Ownership (Uber US)
- Act as the quality gatekeeper for all creator work across Uber US.
- Define and continuously evolve creator selection criteria aligned to Uber’s brand positioning, audience, and performance goals.
- Set clear benchmarks for content excellence across platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, etc.).
- Ensure consistency across all program types: always‑on, seasonal campaigns, cultural moments, product launches, and ambassador programs.
- Partner closely with Strategy, Campaign and Client Services to ensure creator output delivers against Uber’s commercial and brand objectives.
- Conduct regular audits of creator output and feedback loops to elevate standards.
End‑to‑End Creator Management Training & Capability Building
- Own the upskilling of the Uber‑dedicated Creator Services team across the full creator lifecycle.
- Design and deliver structured training covering:
- Creator sourcing and vetting methodology
- Professional and effective creator communications
- Agent negotiations and rate benchmarking
- Commercial value‑add structuring
- Contracting processes and risk mitigation
- Timeline and delivery management
- Escalation handling and reputation management
- Embed consistent best practices in outreach templates, negotiation playbooks, contract briefing processes, and internal handovers/documentation.
- Ensure every team member can confidently manage creators from first outreach through to final payment and post‑campaign relationship management.
Negotiation Strategy & Talent Partnerships
- Lead high‑value negotiations with top‑tier creators and talent agents.
- Develop scalable rate guidance and negotiation guardrails tailored to Uber US.
- Build long‑term talent frameworks and preferred partnership structures.
- Identify opportunities for annualised agreements, ambassador retainers, or priority access partnerships.
- Establish strong working relationships with leading talent agencies representing priority cultural voices.
- Create negotiation playbooks that maximise:
- Commercial efficiency
- Added value
- Exclusivity advantages
- Long‑term partnership leverage
Strategic Optimisation & Cross‑Functional Initiatives
- Partner closely with Client Services, Strategy, Campaigns, Legal, and Finance to ensure seamless creator execution.
- Identify workflow inefficiencies and improve creator‑related processes across the account.
- Ensure creator timelines, contracting, and negotiations support campaign velocity.
- Act as the senior creator voice in Uber status meetings where required.
- Contribute to forward‑planning conversations around innovation, platform evolution, and cultural opportunities.
- Continuously refine the Uber creator model to improve performance, efficiency, and cultural impact.
- Contribute to thought leadership around creator management excellence.
- Identify innovation opportunities in creator contracting models, performance structures, or hybrid media partnerships.

Required Experience & Skills
- 6+ years’ experience in influencer or creator marketing.
- Proven experience leading managers within an agency environment.
- Strong background in talent negotiations and agent relationship management (including celebrity and VIP talent partnerships).
- Experience partnering closely with client‑facing and delivery teams.
- US market experience.
